G. Proximity card readers shall read cards up to 4 inches away, fit in a standard 1-gang wall
box, be black in color and have bi-color LED indicator. Provide 200 proximity cards with
the system. Programming of cards shall be included and coordinated with Owner.
H. Provide DMP 734 Wiegand interface modules at locations with card proximity card
readers.
2.03 ACCESS CONTROL SOFTWARE FUNCTIONS
A. The systems primary function shall be to regulate access through specific doors to secured
areas, monitor motion, monitor exterior door position and provide alarm monitoring and
annunciation. Reconfiguration shall be accomplished on-line through system programming
or via keypad or laptop computer without hardware changes.
B. Access control functions shall include, validation based on time of day and day of week,
special day/holiday scheduling with card validation override, with access validation based
on positive verification of card. Corresponding doors shall be controlled via magnetic hold
devices that may be programmed to be "open" at designated time periods only.
C. Utilizing assigned passwords, it shall be possible to define the functions and features that
are available to each individual operator, ranging from basic monitoring to full control of
the system including programming.
D. The system shall be capable of arming or disarming alarm points both manually and
automatically by time of day, day of week or by operator command. This shall be
accomplished by keypads at designated entry locations for preprogrammed zones of each
building as well.
E. Up to 100 user-definable time schedules shall be provided.
F. There shall be 20 user definable special days.
G. There shall be a software-configurable, user defined adjustment for Daylight Savings Time.
H. Any access controlled point shall be capable of scheduled unlock periods to allow for card-
free access. The access controlled point shall also be capable of requiring one valid access
event before beginning a scheduled unlock period. Additionally, any access control point
shall be capable of requiring a valid card on a scheduled basis for high security areas. Any
designated alarm input shall be able to be scheduled Armed and Disarmed. Any relay
output shall be capable of scheduled On and Off periods to allow for automatic I/O system
control.
I. Up to 1,000 individual users may be given access cards or codes and have their access and
egress controlled and recorded. 99 user profiles shall be available.
